Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala has condemned the political murder in Kannur and asked both the CPM and the RSS to lay down their weapons.
"A political murder has occurred after a short interval in Kannur proving that the peace attempts made were not sincere. Both the parties are sharpening their weapons while talking about peace publicly,” he said.
Eight political murders have happened in Kannur after the LDF government came to power, he said and regretted that the murders were committed by the parties ruling the state and the centre. He urged both groups to stop the bloodbath.
“The parties responsible for maintaining peace in the state are destroying the law and order,” he added.
