I feel threat to my life but fear is no answer: Kanhaiya Kumar
Pattambi: Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar on Friday said he has threat to his life from various corners but would go ahead with the movement for an alternative politics. "I feel the threat to my life but fear is not the answer," he told DC in Pattambi.
Earlier speaking at a press conference, Mr Kumar said the tag of 'anti-national' stuck on him and his fellow students in JNU by the Sangh Parivar did not deter him from taking their movement forward. "We see it dialectic ally," he said. "They gave us the tag because we sought justice. Now we are using the same against them," he said. Nobody noticed him when he arrived in 2012 for a programme, but the case is no more the same, he pointed out.
Mr Kumar said campuses all over the country are seeing an awakening for justice of all kinds. "This movement will produce its own politics," he said.
Indicating that he is looking for a movement that is not restricted by the traditional Left, Mr Kumar said all those who are anti-establishment and working for justice will be part of it. "We see tremendous support for our movement all across the country," he said. He said Kerala shouldn’t give BJP a chance to set foot on this land, “lest it would be very dangerous,” he said.
