Dharmapuri: The AIADMK supremo and chief minister J.Jayalalithaa reiterated her promise of closing down the retail liquor Tasmac shops in phases in Tamil Nadu and claimed that the DMK chief M.Karunanidhi had no locus standi to speak about dry law as he had only lifted prohibition in the state.
The AIADMK leader was in Dharmapuri to address an election meeting and introduce her party candidates contesting from constituencies in Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri district.
Jayalalithaa flew into Dharmapuri by a helicopter and landed at around 2.20 pm at the make shift helipad close to the dais. But four hours before her arrival, crowds of party men were brought to the venue at a private land on the Dharmapuri-Pennagaram road.
