Tamilisai Soundararajan takes potshots at TN Congress chief
Chennai: The BJP took potshots at TNCC chief Su. Thirunavukkarasar’s loyalty and wondered if he could sustain himself in the Congress.
“He has the habit of switching loyalties. He was with the BJP.... Let’s see if he can gain a foothold in his new party,” Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, BJP state president said. Contending that he has no locus standi to criticise the BJP or the Centre on any issue, she said the BJP has allowed Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao to discharge his duties independently as per constitution. There is no need for the Centre to interfere in the functioning of the Governor, she asserted reacting to Thirunavukkarasar’s criticism.
Accusing the BJP government of interference and also causing political turmoil in Tamil Nadu, the Congress chief said the BJP was precipitating the matters with an aim to gain a foothold in the state. “BJP has no foundation in Tamil Nadu.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is interfering. Let the Governor make some decision soon. He should function as per constitution and discharge his duties in a democratic manner,” he had said on Monday and urged. Vidyasagar Rao to invite the AIADMK leaders to prove their majority on the floor of the Assembly House.
