YSRC Adopting New Tactics Fearing Defeat, Says TD Leader

Kurnool: Telugu Desam leader and MLC B.T. Naidu on Wednesday felt ruling YSRC has started adopting new strategies fearing a defeat in the 2024 assembly general elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to media, he said these tactics include changing ruling party candidates in constituencies, manipulating the boundaries of various constituencies, and specifically targeting backward class communities.

B.T. Naidu said such actions of the YSRC government have come to the notice of public, making them shift their political loyalty to TDP. In this regard, he pointed out the example of allocating the Mangalagiri seat. Initially, it had been given to a Reddy candidate, when victory seemed certain. When a loss appeared likely, the seat has been allocated to BCs.

The MLC went on to recall the graduate MLC election results in several constituencies, wherein the ruling party performed poorly. He observed that these results are a clear indicator of public dissatisfaction with the current administration.
