It\'s now official Udhayanidhi to be sworn in on Wednesday
Chennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin’s son and Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni MLA, Udhayanidhi Stalin, will be sworn in as a State Minister on Wednesday, December 14, at 9.30 am in the Raj Bhavan’s Durbar Hall by Governor R N Ravi.
A communique from Raj Bhavan on Monday said the Chief Minister had recommended to the Governor to induct Udhyanidhi Stalin in the Council of Ministers and the Governor had approved the recommendation.
Deccan Chronicle had reported Udhayanidhi Stalin’s possible induction into the State cabinet on Wednesday in its issue dated December 8 itself when the DMK was making hush hush preparations for the swearing in, which was expected to happen for a long time in political circles.
According to sources in the DMK, Udhayanidhi Stalin’s induction into the State cabinet as a junior minister is just the beginning and that he would be entrusted with bigger responsibilities as time goes on. As of now, he holds the post of the secretary of the DMK’s youth wing.
