Uma Madhava Reddy, son to join TRS tomorrow
Hyderabad: Former minister and TD politburo member Uma Madhava Reddy and her son and Bhongir district TD president A. Sandeep Reddy have decided join the TRS on December 14.
Both leaders met TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday morning and expressed their desire to join the ruling party. They will formally join the TRS in Mr Rao’s presence at 12 noon on December 14 at Telangana Bhavan along with their supporters.
According to sources, Ms Madhava Reddy had Mr Rao to consider nominating her to the Rajya Sabha in the biennial elections for three RS seats in March 2018. She is not interested in contesting the 2019 Assembly elections, and Mr Sandeep Reddy is being promoted to contest from the Bhongir Assembly seat presently being held by TRS legislator Pailla Sekhar Reddy.
“It is up to the Chief Minister to utilise our services in the TRS. We have decided to join TRS as it is being proved that only that party can take us to Bangaru Telangana with more welfare and development,” Mr Reddy said.
