Plaint against KTR over model code

The HRDA stated that the matter was sub judice and is before the High Court.

Hyderabad: A complaint by the Healthcare Reforms Doctors Association, against caretaker Cabinet minister K.T. Rama Rao has been given to the Chief Electoral Officer Telangana for violation of the model code of conduct on Monday.

The complaint is about the meeting of the minister organised in Siricilla where an assurance was given of giving certificates to unregistered medical practitioners. The HRDA stated that the matter was sub judice and is before the High Court.

The minister also promised to amend government order 428 which refers to the practice of medical practitioners. He also advised them to prescribe scheduled drugs which is against the medical act.

“With the model code of conduct in the state, the promise by the cabinet minister and false assurances for influencing 500 voters is not in the right spirit,” said the complaint.

The HRDA demanded that Mr Rama Rao must be disqualified and not allowed to participate in elections.
