Kutami candidates list today

Speaking to the media, he said that the TJS would contest in eight or more seats in the Assembly elections.

Hyderabad: Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) president Kodandaram on Monday said that the party candidates list would be released on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media, he said that the TJS would contest in eight or more seats in the Assembly elections.

Prof. Kodandaram added that the TJS would go along with the Mahakutami. He said that the CPI also should come along with the alliance.

Prof. Kodandaram said that TJS candidates would contest under their party election symbol, the match box.

He said that discussions were held that TJS candidates should contest under the common symbol of the Congress.

Prof. Kodandaram said that the party finally took a decision that the TJS would contest on its party symbol.

He said that the party would take up the campaign of their party symbol in a big way to reach the people.

Asked whether he would contest, Prof. Kodandaram said there was no clarity about the matter.

He said the Mahakutami would announce the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) on Tuesday. He is the convener of the CMP.

The Mahakutami leaders including Prof. Kodandaram, Telugu Desam state president L. Ramana and balladeer Gaddar along with the Congress campaigning committee chairman Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka had a meeting at the Congress leader’s house on Monday morning and discussed the CMP and the manifestos of the parties.

Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Bhatti said, “All the parties of the Mahakutami have submitted the list to address the problems in the state. There will be another meeting on Tuesday and later the CMP of the Mahakutami will be announced.”

Speaking to the DC, Prof. Kodandaram said, “We have two objectives in preparing the CMP. Firstly, the CMP will be against the autocratic rule of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and secondly to fulfil the aspirations of the Telangana movement. These are not elections between the Mahakutami and TRS. The Mahakutami was formed to pull down the TRS from power. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s family is on one side and the people of Telangana are standing on the other side.”
