Nellore: Kovuru legislator and ruling party leader Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy rebuked the TD supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu for his claims that he begged NTR to save the party before dethroning him from chief minister’s position in the past.
He was reacting to Naidu’s comments in a TV show on an OTT platform hosted by his brother-in-law and Tollywood actor Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Addressing the media on the sidelines of Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhuthvam programme in Kovur constituency, Prasanna Kumar Reddy said 14 legislators including himself were with NTR during the Viceroy hotel issue and they continued their loyalty till the founder of Telugu Desam breathed his last.
He alleged that other MLAs were with Naidu and there was no question of Naidu requesting NTR during the crisis as they never left him alone.
The legislator said the attitude of Naidu is to trouble others and dethrone them. There was no evidence of him requesting NTR to keep Lakshmi Parvathi away from active politics to save the party. He said it is all the propaganda of Naidu to throw dust in the eyes of the viewers.
Reminding that stones and footwear were pelted on NTR at the Viceroy hotel inhumanly, he demanded Naidu to explain his whereabouts at that point of time. Prasanna Kumar Reddy took a dig at the TD chief for articulating white lies now.
NTR was like a child whose attitude was soft unlike Naidu who will go to any extent for political benefits.
He said God knows everything and Naidu would appropriately be punished for his backstabbing, dishonest nature and corrupt practices in politics with the support of vested interests in media organisations.
