Top brass diktat: BS Yeddyurappa and KS Eshwarappa to smoke peace pipe

The leaders are likely to meet in the presence of a senior RSS functionary soon to resolve the differences.

Bengaluru: Following the advice of the party central leadership, BJP state president B.S.Yeddyurappa and party senior leader K.S. Eshwarappa are likely to meet soon to resolve the difference between them.

After Vijayadashami, both leaders have decided to meet to resolve the differences. Acting as per the diktat of the party central leadership Mr Eshwarappa has decided not to participate in the Sangolli Rayanna Brigade (SRB) convention in Tumakuru.

The leaders are likely to meet in the presence of a senior RSS functionary soon to resolve the differences.

Mr. Eshwarappa had raised many issue before party leaders during the recent visit of party national organizing secretary Ramlal and he had also agreed to resolve the differences through talks.

Sources in the state BJP told this newspaper that, in a day or two, both leaders will sit across the table and talk to bury the differences. Instead of one to one talks, a senior RSS functionary will preside over this meeting to enable both leaders place their arguments, sources added.

It is inevitable for the state BJP to resolve the differences, after Mr. Eshwarappa started Sangolli Rayanna Brigade (SRB).

The new outfit has done enough damage to the organization. Since a separate OBC morcha is very active in the BJP, what is the necessity for a parallel organization for espousing the same cause, party workers have asked.

Moreover, the Congress government is facing anti-incumbency, but the BJP has failed to capitalize on this primarily because of internal bickering.

It is high time both leaders buried the differences in the interests of the party, sources added.

If the leaders are not ready to join hands, it will be difficult for the BJP to effectively fight against the misdeeds of the ruling Congress, said sources. Knowing this fact, both warring leaders have decided to meet and resolve their differences, party sources added.
