HYDERABAD: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) demanded that the state and the central governments put in place stringent laws to prevent “love jihad” and conversions in the country.
Surendra Jain, VHP’s joint general secretary, claimed that there had been an increase in cases of ‘love jihad’, which refers to instances of Muslim men marrying non-Muslim women and appealed to both the state and central governments to pass legislation outlawing ‘love Jihad’ and illegal religious conversions to free the country from this crime, that once partitioned the country and now endangers its demographic structure, unity, and territorial integrity.
He claimed that the depraved anti-women ‘jihadi’ doctrine, which has repercussions in Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Ladakh, is generating growing international outrage.
“Telangana has already become the epicentre of sensual pleasures for pleasure-seeking sheikhs from all over the world, but Hindu women have also been affected by this perverted attitude since the time of Razakars. They specifically target the tribal populations in Adilabad, Bhadrachalam, Bhopalpalli, and Mulugu. These jihadis have been trapping not just their innocent women but also their lands by posing as Hindus and using Hindu names,” the VHP leader claimed.
