NFL gets 20,387 MT urea

The minister was speaking after visiting the Gangavaram Port in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.

Hyderabad: Minister for agriculture, marketing and civil supplies S. Niranjan Reddy on Thursday said that 20,387 metric tonnes of urea was shifted to the godowns of the National Fertilizers Limited from different ports across India in the last one week.

The minister was speaking after visiting the Gangavaram Port in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.

Gangavaram port CEO and AP former DGP Nanduri Sambasiva Rao assured full support from port for quick transport of urea to Telangana state.

Mr Niranjan Reddy minister said that special vehicles have been organised to shift the urea to the villages across Telangana. He asked the officials to maintain adequate stocks of groundnut seeds, as production of the crop would be high with the inflow of water at Medak, Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda and other districts during this rabi season.
