MK Stalin unsure of no confidence motion, says Tamilisai Soundararajan
Chennai: The BJP on Saturday took pot shots at the DMK working president M. K. Stalin, saying he is uncertain on his party’s ‘no confidence motion’ plans against the Edappadi Palaniswami government.
Accusing Stalin of “fishing in troubled waters,” BJP state president Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan said, “ Stalin is trying to fish in troubled waters. When he says he will move a no-confidence motion if required, it shows (that) he is not confident about that.” She alleged that the announcement was made with the intention of keeping the media spotlight on Stalin.
Dr Tamilisai also took strong exception to TNCC chief Thirunavukkarasar for his remarks on merger of two AIADMK factions following the removal of T.T.V. Dhinakaran as AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary, and said the BJP wanted the two warring factions of the ruling AIADMK to unite so that Tamil Nadu had a stable government.
“Also, the Centre wants a cordial relationship with all states,” she said and added that the two factions have now realised the importance of
merger, which alone could help them obtain the party’s two leaves symbol.
Earlier, Thirunavukkarasar had remarked that the BJP is induling in “khap panchayat” in New Delhi to unify the two warring factions of the AIADMK.
