Dad was happy to see Murasoli souvenir: MK Stalin

Stalin blamed the BJP for the state government's conduct.

Chennai: DMK working president M.K. Stalin on Saturday said his party would take ‘a good decision’ on no-confidence motion according to circumstances, reiterating that such a motion would be moved at ‘an opportune moment’.

He also countered Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami’s assertion that the AIADMK (Amma) had already defeated the DMK’s no confidence motion and said the DMK had not moved any such motion so far. Stalin said he had only brought a no confidence against Speaker P. Dhanapal. Earlier, confidence motion was taken up following the direction of Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, he said.

He also announced that the Murasoli platinum jubilee meeting which was deferred would be held on September 5 at Kottivakkam YMCA ground.
Charging the AIADMK (Amma) government with bowing to the BJP on issues of Neet and Hindi imposition, Stalin blamed the BJP for the state government’s conduct.

Responding to a question on the verses in AIADMK organ ‘Namadhu MGR’ attacking the BJP with splitting the AIADMK, Stalin said he did not want to go into the criticism. Speaking to reporters at DMK headquarters here, Stalin, reacting to questions on the corruption charges against each other by the three factions, said each faction is blaming each other and people would decide about them soon.

On inspecting the lake desilted at Palaniswami’s constituency, he said he would discuss the issue with district functionaries and decide on a specific date. Stalin said DMK president M. Karunanidhi displayed happy expressions when he was shown the Murasoli souvenir. The expression of his eyes and face showed that he was happy to see it. When the DMK was founded by C.N. Annadurai, the meeting was held amidst rains, he said and similar showers had encouraged the functionaries to create history.
