Welcome to Modifest to know about 3-yr achievements: BJP to Stalin
Chennai: Piqued over DMK working president M. K. Stalin belittling Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government’s achievements, BJP president Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan invited Mr Stalin to attend MODI fest and get himself enlightened on the three-year achievements of Mr Modi.
Though the DMK leader may be unruffled over her open invite, the saffron party in the state hopes to raise its pitch against the Dravidian major and make that party sound "insignificant" compared to the lofty achievements of the BJP government, said a BJP senior leader. Slamming Mr Stalin for his "lack of knowledge" on the issue, Dr Tamilisai invited him to attend MODI fest "to see & listen to our Hon'ble PM Narendra Modi Government's three-year's achievements."
The BJP leader who expressed her anger at Mr Stalin for saying "one cannot pinpoint any achievement of the BJP government in these three years," said on her microblogging site "don't blame out of ignorance." Endorsing her view, BJP national secretary H. Raja said, "Stalin will end up (like) another Seeman soon."
A host of BJP leaders, including Union minister of state for road transport, highways and shipping Pon Radhakrishnan and Dr Tamilisai have been touring TN is addressing meetings as part of the "Making of Developed India," popularly called MODI fest, to make people aware of various welfare schemes initiated by the Centre. Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sammelan is the theme of this fest being organised in over 300 cities across the country to mark the third anniversary of the BJP-led NDA government.
"Stalin needs to learn a lesson about the BJP government's performance. Apart from disbursing Rs. 10 lakh crore agriculture loans, the Centre had granted loans to 7 crore people through Mudra bank, gas connections to poor women, to name a few. In fact, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana or the revised weather-based insurance scheme was also launched," says BJP senior M Chakravarthy.
