Kalaburagi: Madigas community to vote against Mallikarjun Kharge?

He accused Mr Kharge of suppressing the Madiga community in the district.

Kalaburagi: Trouble is mounting for Mallikarjun Kharge in Kalaburagi where he is locked in a tough battle with the BJP'S Dr Umesh Jadhav with two prominent organisations representing the Madiga community deciding to call on their community members to vote against the veteran Congress leader.

Blaming Mr Kharge and former chief minister Siddaramaiah for the delay in implementing the recommendations of the Sadashiva Commission, leaders of the Madiga Misalati Horata Samiti (MMHS) and Madiga Dandora Horata Samiti (MDHS) said the community has decided to teach him a lesson for always working against their socio-political and educational interests.

Addressing the media, MMHS State President H Hanumanthappa Ballari, MDHS District President Vijaykumr Adaki and others said though they had staged many protests seeking implementation of the Sadashiva Commission report, the Siddaramaiah government as well as the present coalition government have paid scant attention to the issue. "Mr Kharge, who has grown big in politics, has failed to get justice for us(Madigas). Leave alone helping us, he is creating impediments for the implementation of the Commission report. Hence we will work against Mr Kharge and the candidates put up by the the coalition in this election" Mr Hanumnathappa stated.

He accused Mr Kharge of suppressing the Madiga community in the district. "Our community leader Mr G Ramakrishna, had to undergo a lot of suffering because of Mr Kharge. It's high time he(Mr Kharge) is shown the door", Mr Hanumanthappa remarked.
