BJP files complaint against Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah
Bengaluru: The state BJP has lodged a criminal complaint against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee working president Dinesh Gundu Rao with the City Police Commissioner for making a ‘derogatory statement’ on the BJP and RSS.
BJP MLA and spokesperson Suresh Kumar and BJP city unit president P.N. Sadhashiva lodged the complaint and stated that both leaders were liable for defamation and promotion of enmity between citizens under section 153A of the Indian Penal Code and under the provisions of the law.
Further, the BJP stated that Mr Siddaramaiah, instead of taking action against the PFI and SDPI, was blaming the BJP and RSS for violence in the state. Such statements had created enmity and the wrong impression about the BJP among people, the complaint said.
