Bhatti, party seniors fume at new PCC panels

HYDERABAD: CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and senior Congress leaders expressed displeasure over the way key PCC panels were approved, as names of many senior leaders were missing from the new panels.

A day after Konda Surekha raised the issue with PCC chief A. Revanth Reddy for being ignored in the PAC, senior leaders including V. Hanumantha Rao, J. Geetha Reddy, A. Maheshwar Reddy, Madhu Yaskhi Goud and M. Kodanda Reddy met Bhatti at his residence in Banjara Hills on Monday.

Rao felt that the ‘original’ Congress leaders should not be rendered ‘injustice’, while addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan.

“We are receiving grievances from across the state against the haphazard representation in committees. We will ponder over the developments,” Rao told Deccan Chronicle.

Speaking to media persons, Bhatti said that despite holding an important position, he was not invited to the meeting which finalised the committees, the executive committee and PAC for the first time since 1990. For years now, the PCC chief and CLP leader have been integral to such crucial meetings,” he said.
