Congress' Vanteru dares KCR in TRS heartland
Hyderabad: “If KCR and Harish Rao can say at the Kota Maisamma temple that they have not taken a single rupee in all these years, I will not even contest the elections”, said Mr Vanteru Pratap Reddy, Congress aspirant from Gajwel constituency, said on Friday. Mr Pratap Reddy faces caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in the upcoming elections, and TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has expressed confidence that the Congress candidate would win.
Mr Pratap Reddy addressed a public meeting from the Indira Vijaya Ratham after its launch by former Congress MP V. Hanumanth Rao at Gajwel on Thursday. He said, “KCR and Harish Rao have looted the state. Their corruption is seen in Mission Kakatiya, Water Grid and in other projects. If they dare to promise at that they didn’t do any corruption, I will withdraw from contesting the elections.”
He said several promises made by the TRS had remained unfulfilled. “Why should anyone vote for the TRS? The people are ready to teach them a lesson,” Mr Pratap Reddy said.
