Sangh guilty? Let Rahul prove it: BS Yeddyurappa
Bengaluru: As accusations swirl of right involvement in the murder of journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh, BJP state president B.S. Yeddyurappa on Monday lambasted AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi for pointing fingers at the BJP and RSS.
The BJP state chief who was featured on the cover of the last edition of Gauri Lankesh Patrike said that it is ridiculous and baseless to blame the RSS and BJP without evidence. "If Mr Rahul Gandhi has any evidence, let him present it to the investigating agency. Otherwise, the investigating agency should interrogate Mr Gandhi for making such baseless allegations against the Sangh Parivar," he said.
"The BJP demands an impartial inquiry and condemns the brutal killing of Gauri Lankesh. The culprits should be hanged," he said, adding, "be it a SIT or CBI investigation, the BJP wants the accused arrested. The family of the deceased should get justice."
Defending his party MLA D.N. Jeevaraj's controversial statement that Gauri might have lived if she had not made comments against the RSS, Mr Yeddyurappa said “there is nothing wrong in the statement.”
