Telugu Desam cadre erupt in protest against Jagan Mohan Reddy's comments

Mr Pulla Rao said Mr Jagan has lost mental balance and so was making objectionable statements.

Guntur: The Telugu Desam cadres in Guntur district erupted in protest against the comments by YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy against Chief Minister N. Chan-drababu Naidu, during the former’s campaign for Nandyal bypolls.

AP minister for civil supplies P. Pulla Rao, at Chilakaluripeta, said Mr Jagan was indifferent to law and so was continuing with his objectionable remarks against Mr Naidu despite receiving notices from the Election Commission.

“Mr Jagan, accused in 12 cases by the CBI, went to the jail but his attitude has not changed,” he said.

“Earlier, Mr Jagan wanted people to shoot the CM and now, he wants people to hang him in the public. Such comments are objectionable,” Mr Rao said.

Telugu Yuvatha activists, led by R. Sai Krishna, hanged the effigy of Mr Jagan to a noose fixed to a tree at the Acharya Nagarjuna University.

The leaders demanded unconditional apology from Mr Jagan for his objectionable comments. They demanded the EC to take stern action against Mr Jagan for his comments.
