TPCC flays arrests ahead of KCR's Gadwal visit

HYDERABAD: The arrest of the AICC secretary and other Congress leaders in Gadwal district ahead of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao's visit to open the new collectorate and SP offices is highly condemnable, said TPCC senior Vice-president Mallu Ravi here on Monday.

People assume that the opening of new offices would bring administration closer to their doorstep but it looks like Rao intends to rule in an autocratic manner. The pre-emptive arrest of leaders even as the Chief Minister is to come only in the evening reflects the kind of policy that exists in the state, he said.

When the CM visits a district, people expect that their grievances would be heard and resolved but Rao apparently has no such interactions in his agenda, Ravi said.
