TRS founder member and former MLA Ravinder Reddy to decide on his future action

After his defeat in the 2018 Assembly election, Ravinder Reddy is maintaining a low profile

NIZAMABAD: TRS founder member and former MLA Enugu Ravinder Reddy geared up party cadre in Yellareddy Assembly constituency to decide his political future course of action. He is closely moving with former minister Etala Rajendar and also playing a vital role in Etala’s camp. Reportedly, TRS party leaders and activists in Yellareddy Assembly constituency are ready to follow in the footsteps of their mentor, who has close rapport with them for the last two decades.

Interestingly, Ravinder Reddy, former employee of the Cantonment Board, jumped into the political arena with the TRS in 2001. He won as MLA from Yellareddy four times and was a close aide of finance minister T.Harish Rao. He is the senior TRS legislator in undivided Nizamabad district.

After his defeat in the 2018 Assembly election, Ravinder Reddy is maintaining a low profile. The lone Congress MLA from undivided Nizamabad district, Jajala Surender of Yellareddy, joined the TRS, but the party cadre divided into two groups of Surender and Ravinder Reddy.

Close sources to Ravinder Reddy said that the TRS leadership ‘neglected’ him after defeat in the last Assembly election. Unable to adjust in the party, Ravinder Reddy joined hands with Rajendar, the political observers felt. Strengthening of TRS in undivided Nizamabad district, Ravinder Reddy had played a vital role and his support to Rajendar may show impact in old Nizamabad district too, they believed.

Meanwhile, Intelligence sleuths and TRS leadership is keenly observing the movements of Ravinder Reddy. It is learnt that MLA Surender was told to be alert to the political movements in Yellareddy Assembly constituency.
