People do not trust KCR's words: Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy
Hyderabad: Congress former MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy claimed on Friday that the people of the state were not believing the words of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his son and minister K.T. Rama Rao. He said he had completed a 41-day padayatra to know the people’s problems.
Mr Reddy alleged that political leaders were barred from entering Pragathi Bhavan, the official residence of the Chief Minister, unless they changed their kanduva, or political allegiance.
He said the TRS had promised to waive Rs 1 lakh loan of each farmer bit this had not yet been done. He said the TRS government had failed to procure produce from farmers by paying remunerative prices.
The government had not paid compensation to the families of farmers who committed suicide, he said. If the government provided remunerative prices to farmers, there would have been no need to pay Rs 4,000 per season per acre every year as investment subsidy.
Mr Reddy said Mr Rao had said Congress leaders “have no brains”. If Mr Rao was intelligent, the Congress leader said, why did he not implement his assurances to the people.
