Tummala's son Yugandhar is meeting farmers & youths.

Khammam: Not only ministers, former ministers, MLAs and MLCs but also heirs of both the Congress and TRS candidates — R. Sucharita Reddy and minister for roads and buildings, Tummala Nageswara Rao respectively jumped into campaign in favour of their parents in Palair byelection.

Either Congress or TRS or CPM leaders have been making their presence by campaigning in almost 180 habitations in Palair segment. Harita and Laxmi, daughters of late R. Venkat Reddy are vigourously working in favour of their mother in Palair constituency. The two sisters are freely mingling with the voters and seeking votes for their mother. They have been visiting the villages separately and joining her mother at the end of the campaign.

Speaking to the Deccan Chronicle, Harita said that she campaigned for her father in the previous election and the people in thandas are recognising her. “The people in Palair segment have been recalling the services of late Venkat Reddy and his impeccable character in loving the oppressed sections,” she said.
Laxmi said that her mother Sucharita Reddy campaign is going in a simple way and they are visiting the villages with one or two vehicles.

“But, hundreds of vehicles are plying along with ministers. We are knocking the doors of locals and putting pasupu and kunkuma to the women as a gesture of their attendance,” she said. On the other hand, T. Yugandhar, the son of T. Nageswara Rao has been extending all his assistance to his father in the election. He is visiting the villages separately and finding out the lapses in the campaign and alerting the cadre.

Mr Yugandhar used to meet the farmers and youth in the villages and requesting them to vote for his father. “Response from the farmers is good and irrigation projects proposed to irrigate Palair area will pay dividends to TRS,” he said.
