CPI urges EC to prevent bribing' voters
Madurai: CPI national secretary T Raja urges the Election Commission of India to prevent the political parties from bribing the voters in Tamil Nadu.
Interacting with the reporters here on Wednesday, Raja expressed serious concern over the EC for not being effective in taking action against the political parties that were involved in distributing money to the voters.
Though this unethical practice is prevailing across the country, the voters bribing is worst in Tamil Nadu, he pointed out. However Raja expressed hope that people will teach a lesson to the political parties which depends on money power to win in the upcoming election on May 16.
Criticising both the Dravidian parties for not paying attention to the economic crisis in the state, he said that only PWF-DMDK alliance can introduce alternative economic policy for the welfare of the people.
He also observed that the people in Tamil Nadu wouldn't allow the communal forces like BJP to win in the election.
Commenting on the assembly election in Kerala, he said that the contest is only between LDF and UDF, and BJP would face the worst defeat in Kerala.
He also criticised the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a representative of RSS.
