Don't provoke Andhra people: Chandrababu Naidu to Amit Shah

Mr Naidu said BJP had cheated Andhra Pradesh and victimising and causing suffering to people of the state.

Vijayawada: TD supremo and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had lambasted BJP National president, Amit Shah for writing an open letter to people of Andhra Pradesh in which he had accused Mr Naidu of taking U-turn. He said Amit Shah is a professional liar and asked him to stop humiliating Andhra Pradesh public by writing such letters.

Mr Naidu said BJP had cheated Andhra Pradesh and victimising and causing suffering to people of the state. He threatened that TD will continue the attack if the BJP doesn’t stop attacking them and stressed that he will not leave Modi-Shah duo.

Mr Naidu who had ended his day-long deeksha at AP Bhavan in Delhi had said it was not he who had taken U-turn but the Modi-Shah duo had taken wrong side and wrong turn by not granting special category status to Andhra Pradesh which was also demanded by their BJP leaders at the time of state bifurcation.

He said that he had agreed on special package only after the Centre had said that the special category status will not be given to any other state but Centre later taken U-turn and extended the status to other states.

He said that funds that were released by the Centre were part of the Finance Commission provisions and no special funds were released to Andhra Pradesh. He said that none will believe such letters and asked not to provoke Andhra people.
