Congress, a Family-based Party: Shah

Amit Shah said that Congress had created all kinds of hurdles in the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya

Bhopal: Union home minister Amit Shah on Saturday made a scathing attack on the Congress, saying that it is a family-based party.

Addressing an election rally in Dhar in Madhya Pradesh, Mr Shah accused the Congress leaders of advancing the interests of their families, instead of showing interest in the development of the country and the welfare of the people.

“The Congress is a family-based party. The Congress leaders only want to advance the interests of their sons and daughters. Sonia Gandhi has in mind to make her son Rahul Prime Minister. Kamal Nath wants to make his son Nakul chief minister”, he said.

The party in which leaders are busy in advancing the interests of their sons and daughters cannot work for the development of the country and the people, he said.

Mr Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has to be brought back as PM in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections to ensure security of the country’s border and combat terrorism sponsored from across the border.

For the return of Mr Modi as PM in 2024 LS polls, it is needed to bring BJP to power in Madhya Pradesh in the November 17 assembly elections, he said.

He recounted how Congress leader Rahul Gandhi cautioned him against bringing the bill for abrogation of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that the move would stir nationwide uproar.

No one today dared to even light a fire in Kashmir, he added.

He said that the Centre has curbed infiltration in the country and added that NIA has recently conducted raids to prevent Rohingyas from illegally settling in India.

He said that Congress had created all kinds of hurdles in the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.

But, Mr Modi had cleared all these hurdles quietly to ensure that a grand temple came up in Ayodhya.

The ceremonial installation of the idol of Lord Ram is set to be held on January 22, he said.

“We will arrange visits to Ayodhya for every single person in Madhya Pradesh, if BJP retains power in the staste”, he said.

Mr Shah said that the Congress in Madhya Pradesh is run by the Gandhi family and two Congress veterans Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh.

“Mr Nath executives orders issued by Gandhi family and if anything goes wrong, then the blame goes to Mr Singh”, he said.

Mr Shah also addressed election meetings in Manawar and Badnawar in Dhar district earlier in the day.
