The BJP had announced Uma Tula for the Vemulawada constituency but dropped her name from the final list, making her furious. To fish in troubled waters, Congress candidate Srinivas Goud visited Uma's residence and sought her assistance.
In Sangareddy, the BJP chose Deshpande Rajenswar Rao initially. Minutes before the filing of his nomination papers, the party dropped him and issued the B Form to Puli Mamidi Raju.
An irate Rajeswar Rao called Kishan Reddy over the and expressed his anguish. He said he had worked for the BJP’s development but the party humiliated him by dropping him at the last minute. He attempted suicide but the police prevented his attempt.
