Jagan, Governor condole demise of Samajwadi patriarch

Biswabhusan Harichandan expressed his grief over the death of Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and several other leaders condoled the demise of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Jagan said in a tweet, “Deeply saddened by the demise of former UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav ji. He was a true statesman and an icon of socialist leadership in India, who always worked for the empowerment of the downtrodden. My condolences to his family and supporters. May his soul rest in peace.”

Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan expressed his grief and said, “I pray for peace to his soul and offer my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.”

Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu said he was deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of Mulayam Singh. “I lost a dear brother. Over four decades, I have had the fortune of spending plenty of time with the OBC stalwart who always impressed me with his charm, humility and deep understanding of Indian politics. My deepest condolences to his family and the people of Uttar Pradesh. Om Shanthi.”

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said Mulayam was a champion of the weaker sections, downtrodden and Dalits. He prayed to God that Mulayam’s soul may rest in peace. He extended his deepest sympathies to Akhilesh Yadav and his family members.
