BJP Mission south' on track, says P Muralidhar Rao

Muralidhar asked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to explain his U-turn on his demand to mark the day officially.

Hyderabad: BJP general secretary P. Muralidhar Rao on Sunday said the party had launched ‘Mission South’ to come to power in the southern states.

Speaking to mediapersons at Karimnagar, Mr Muralidhar Rao said the party would strengthen its base in all southern states with different strategies ahead of the 2019 elections

He said BJP cadres would organise picketing of state government offices on September 17 and hoist the National Flag as the TRS government had failed to celebrate Hyderabad Liberation Day as an official event.

He asked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to explain his U-turn on his demand to mark the day officially. He said in the name of secularism the TRS was yielding to pressure from the MIM and avoiding celebrating the day as a state event.

He said BJP cadres would take up a series of agitations against all anti-people policies and programmes of the TRS government.

Replying to a question he said parties and leaders who had no faith in singing the Vande Mataram, the National Song, had no right to continue in India. He said the BJP would expose those who did not pledge their support to nationalist issues.
