Call to instal M Karunanidhi statue at Tiruvarur Collector's office

Chennai: To pay tribute to the former chief minister and late DMK president M.Karunanidhi, Cauvery Delta Farmers Welfare Association’s general secretary Mannargudi S. Ranganathan urged the state government to erect the statue of the departed leader at Tiruvarur Collector’s office.

All political parties and several organisations in Tiruvarur district took out a rally on Friday to condole the death of Mr.Karunanidhi. While speaking at the rally, Mr.Ranganathan said, “Karunanidhi was instrumental in building the model collector office at Tiruvarur.”

The government should name the campus as “Kalaignar Valaagam” and erect a statue of the leader.”
