Prajwal Revanna need not apologise: HD Kumaraswamy
Bengaluru: Defending his nephew Prajwal Revanna, who had hit out against the “suitcase culture” in the party, JD(S) state president Mr H.D. Kumaraswamy asserted on Monday that Prajwal had not referred to any individual leader in his criticism.
After Prajwal’s stinging statement, reports had done the rounds that he was indirectly referring to money changing hands and was sore that the Hunsur Assembly seat he had been eyeing, had been promised to former Mysuru MP A.H. Vishwanath, who defected from the Congress to JD(S) recently. Instead, Mr Kumaraswamy turned the tables on rebel JD(S) leaders quipping that ‘those handling brief cases and sitting in the front rows’ had already left the party.
Speaking to reporters, Mr Kumaraswamy said, “Nowhere has Prajwal named me or hinted that I had indulged in any such activity. There is no need to discuss this in the media. I don’t think he has made any mistake to apologise to me. Where has he said that he was referring to me?,” he said.
