BS Yeddyurappa: Minister Ramanath Rai inciting trouble in Dakshina Kannada
If the minister is stopped from visiting Bantwal for a month, peace will be restored automatically'.

Bengaluru: Turning the heat on Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister B. Ramanath Rai, BJP state president B.S. Yeddyurappa on Monday held him responsible for the killing of RSS worker Sharath Madivala, who died on Friday evening after he was stabbed by assailants on BC Road in the district. Speaking to reporters at Turuvekere in Tumakuru district, Mr Yeddyurappa blamed Mr Rai for the unrest in Bantwal taluk since one month. “If Mr Rai is stopped from going to his home constituency Bantwal for a month, peace will be restored automatically,” he said and also criticized the CM for his ‘autocratic’ style of functioning.
He defended party MPs, Nalinkumar Kateel and Shobha Karandlaje for holding the rally on BC Road on Friday. Instead of arresting the culprits who killed Sharath Madivala, the police filed a case against BJP leaders. The government’s action is nothing but appeasement politics, he said.
“In the past four years, 25 murders have taken place in the state, the modus operandi of killing RSS and BJP workers is identical. I have requested Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to intervene in the matter. I urge the CM to take immediate action against his cabinet colleagues Ramanath Rai and U.T. Khader,” he said.

KS Eshwarappa : Peace in Dakshina Kannada if Siddaramaiah quits
Reacting sharply to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s statement that normalcy will prevail in the coastal region, if the BJP and Sangh Parivar leaders stop spreading communal enmity, former Deputy Chief Minister K.S. Eshwarappa said all that was needed for peace to return was the chief minister’s resignation.
Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Mr Eshwarappa said the CM had no courage to declare that he will take action against miscreants who incited the violence, which was the main reason why the district was still tense. “Mr Siddaramaiah has failed to manage the home department and is pointing fingers at the opposition to cover up his failures. If he resigns, peace will automatically return to troubled areas in the coastal districts, he said.
