KAKINADA: Union Minister of state for external affairs V. Muraleedharan underlined that during the past nine years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed India into a digital economy. “The country is first in the world in ‘digital mode of currency’,” he declared.
Interacting with intellectuals at Rajamahendravaram on Sunday to mark completion of Modi’s nine-year rule, he provided details of development and efficient governance in the country.
Muraleedharan maintained that from a tiny trader to an industrial tycoon, all sections of people are now undertaking digital transactions, thereby improving their businesses.
The Union minister said under Modi’s rule, terrorism has been tackled effectively. There has not been a single blast in the country. Further, he said while the whole world reeled under the impact of Covid-19, India managed the crisis very well, reducing the mortality rate. It provided vaccines not only within the country but also abroad, receiving praise from all nations in the world.
Speaking on the occasion, ex-serviceman Jasti Murthy said with efficient governance, Modi has taken India to forefront of the world in many sectors.
Several ex-servicemen joined the BJP in the presence of Muraleedharan.
BJP city vice-president Dr K. Anuradha presided over the meeting. Bura Ramachandra Rao, in-charge of the programme, BJP state vice-president Relangi Sridevi, Satya Gopinad Das, Y. Rangarao, Unni Krishnan, Nalla Pavan, K. Satish, district in-charge Krishna Bhagavan and V. Veeranjaneyulu were among those present.
