Oommen Chandy refuses to respond to P J Kurien's taunts

Meanwhile, the A' group decided to defend him half-heartedly against the detractors' attack.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has refused to respond to P. J. Kurien's taunts. He welcomed Mr Kurien approaching the Congress high command with his grievances. “Rahul Gandhi will get a clear picture of the things once he airs his grievances," he told reporters in Kottayam on Sunday. “Mr Kurien will not accept if I give him a reply. Another allegation was that I misled Mr Gandhi. In fact, we three together met him. I respect and honour Kurien. I clarified my stand yesterday itself."

He had met Mr Gandhi along with KPCC president M. M. Hassan and Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and got approval for giving the lone RS seat to KC (M). "Others should explain if I had misled Mr Gandhi," he said. He also maintained that it was not him but the young MLAs to respond to the allegation that they acted under his influence. Mr Kurien had said that he would submit a complaint to the AICC leadership against him. Meanwhile, the ‘A’ group decided to defend him half-heartedly against the detractors' attack. But now the situation has come where he has maintained that it was a collective decision.
