KPCC job: DK Shivakumar equation' with JD(S) a spoiler
Bengaluru: There are reports doing the rounds that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has indicated to AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal that the possibility of a coalition government after the polls in 2018 should also be considered before effecting a change of guard in the KPCC. The subject came up during the discussion Venugopal had with the CM at his official residence, Cauvery on Wednesday, where both leaders were closeted for more than 30 minutes after breakfast.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, a senior leader, said, "No one really knows what transpired between the two. Siddaramaiah may have spoken about a possible post-poll alliance with JD(S). In this eventuality, D.K. Shivakumar becoming PCC president can be safely ruled out as everyone is aware of the running feud between him and the Gowda family. In other words, Siddaramaiah's choice becoming PCC president is almost certain."
