CPI's Suravaram flays Chandrababu Naidu's attitude
CPI would support if all opposition parties united for the Presidential elections.

Vijayawada: CPI national secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy criticized Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s attitude. He said that Mr Naidu was speaking like a third grade leader, instead of a Chief Minister. He added that it wasn’t fair for Mr Naidu to continuously speak about the elections; and questioned whether the CM had gone to the US to seek IT investments, or for election promotions.
Mr Reddy addressed a press meet in Vijayawada on Wednesday, and said that the CPI would extend its support if all opposition parties united for the Presidential elections. Speaking about YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy’s coming out in support of the NDA, he said that the opposition parties had the obligation to act as oppositions to everyone.
Mr Sudhakar Reddy challenged the BJP, and asked whether they dared to agree to elections through the proportional method. He accused the BJP of forcibly trying to make people adopt the Hindi language. He said that though it was important for people to learn Hindi, its prevalent use could destroy local dialects.
“Attacks of the Gau Raksha Dal are increasing, and the Government, which should take action against such activities, is supporting them; it is disgusting,” said Mr Reddy. He said that attacks on minorities would impact the nation’s integrity, and he demanded that the BJP change its policies.
