Kummanam Rajasekharan moves Election Commission against A K Antony
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president Mr. Kummanam Rajasekharan has approached state Election Commission with a complaint against senior Congress leader Mr. A.K. Antony. Mr. Kummanam referred to Mr. Antony's comment that if BJP would come to power, it would call for communal violence.
Mr. Kummanam alleged that it was in a meet-the-press programme in Thiruvananthapuram on April 30 that Mr. Antony made the controversial statement that the main agenda of the central government was to create communal divide and polarisation.
These comments clearly violated the model code of conduct and strict action should be initiated against him. Mr. Kummanam has also demanded that the Election Commission should summon Mr. Antony and his explanation should be sought on such irresponsible and illegal statements.
