Where is the implementation of AP Reorganisation Act, Asad asks Modi

HYDERABAD: Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the city and the hype created over projects, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi wanted to know how many aspects were fulfilled by the Centre from the list ordained in the AP Reorganisation Act.

Speaking to media persons here on Monday, he felt that the inaugurations were part of a federal mechanism.

“It is our right and you should give more. What did they give in the last nine years? To what extent has the bifurcation Act been honoured,” he asked.

On alleged corruption by the BRS government, he said that a BJP-ruled state like Karnataka has turned notorious under BJP.

“Around 40 per cent is sought as a cut (on projects). On the other hand, Telangana’s GDP has jumped to 30 per cent from 28 per cent and it stands number one in terms of GDP, which was acknowledged in Parliament,” he asserted. He clarified that he had received an invitation to Modi’s program, but he avoided it as the media would have interpreted it differently.

Over the issue of the PM's educational qualifications, he said that before someone asks him, he would show to the media his barrister certificate.
