PC George is now in NDA

George had earlier declared support for NDA candidate in Pathanamthitta K. Surendran.

Pathanamthitta: Kerala Janapaksham Secular party led by Poonjar legislator P.C. George has joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

This was announced at a joint press meet conducted by Mr George and BJP state president P.S. Sreedharan Pillai at Pathanamthitta on Wednesday.

Mr George had earlier declared support for NDA candidate in Pathanamthitta K. Surendran. He later took the decision to support the UDF, but a meeting convened for the move did not find many takers following which he publicly announced the recent decision.

Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr George said it took into consideration the support and projects for agricultural sector taken by the Centre that made him decide to join the NDA.

“The NDA candidate in Thiruvanantha-puram will reach Lok Sabha with huge majority with my party’s vote,” he told reporters. He also said the Congress leadership had taken a stand of deceit by not allowing him to be part of the UDF.
