Kozhikode: PM Modi campaign on April 12

Kozhikode: The NDA election campaign in north Kerala will get a boost with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to address a rally at Kozhikode beach on Friday. Mr Modi will land at Karipur airport in a special flight at 5.30 pm and attend the meeting at 6 pm. He will also speak during a rally in Thiruvananthapuram on April 17.

The NDA candidates from Kozhikode, Wayanad, Malappuram, Kannur, Kasargod and Palakkad districts and national and state leaders of the front will participate in the rally.

NDA workers from all over the state will converge at the rally which will be show of strength of the BJP-led alliance, said P.K. Krishnadas, senior BJP leader. Mr Modi will spend over one hour in Kozhikode.

He said Congress president Rahul Gandhi had decided to contest from Wayanad due to his fear of defeat in Amethi. Rahul’s aim was to defeat the LDF, he added. National president Amit Shah will campaign in Wayanad on April 15, he said.
