Deviation in tender process will not be tolerated: Prathipati Pulla Rao

The APCSC MD made it clear that they have followed every single detail in finalising the tenders.

Vijayawada: Civil supplies minister Prathipati Pulla Rao said that Stage-1 contract would be cancelled, in case of any deviation in the tender process.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, he said that he would conduct a detailed meeting on Tuesday, with the senior officers of the department, on this matter.

Meanwhile, the AP Civil Supplies Corporation ( APCSC) has clarified that there was no political intervention in finalising the Stage-1 contract tender process.

The APCSC has also clarified that there is no scope for malpractice, with regard to managing the servers, as the IT department is handling them.

The tender rates quoted range from 22 per cent plus 14.99 per cent over the existing transport rates of 2016-17 with an average enhancement of 7.61 percent, which is much below the annual inflation rate of about 8 per cent, the APCSC MD explained in a release.

While reiterating that there is no scope for any manual malpractice to slow down the servers, the MD has stated that it is fully secured and maintained by the IT department.

“Hence manual intervention into the servers is ruled out,” the MD clarified and said the contractors can be assured of it.

The APCSC MD made it clear that they have followed every single detail in finalising the tenders.

In contrast to the MD’s statement, there were very few contractors seen on the corridors of the Secretariat. They met minister Pulla Rao to explain their grievances and as to how their tenders were rejected.

After listening to the contractors doubts, the minister assured them there would be a meeting on Tuesday with the officers of the department, to find out the facts relating to the issue.
