New Delhi: Speculations that Lok Sabha elections could be advanced gained momentum as the BJP high command has asked all the state units to prepare for general elections.

“State units also directed develop a well-placed structure at the booth-level,” a leader said.
Sources told this newspaper that government was planning to advance the general election by five to six month and likely to hold it in November-December this year.
“If the government decided to held early election then it will held towards the year end when bigger states like Rajashthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh too go to polls,” he added.
Party leadership feels that holding Parliament election with Assembly polls will benefit the BJP in overcoming anti-incumbency of 15 years in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
