Ongole's ex-minister reveals change of heart in political bet, prioritizing son's wish for YSRC victory over Telangana prediction

Anantapur: Former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy of Ongole said he has faith in the leadership of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Addressing party workers on Saturday, he disclosed that he had bet ₹50 lakh on the victory of Congress in Telangana. However, he withdrew the bet after his son wished that YSRC would repeat its victory in Andhra Pradesh if BRS wins Telangana.
Balineni said he withdrew the bet seeing his son’s love for the YSRC party.
The former minister said he is firm on contesting from Ongole in the upcoming assembly elections. He maintained that he would not like to shift to any other segment.
Balineni asked his supporters to ensure that there are no bogus votes enrolled at their polling booth level.
