KCR: Speed up work at new Secretariat

Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the ongoing progress of works

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday directed officials to speed up the construction of the new Secretariat complex and make it available to people at the earliest.

After inspecting the progress of construction works along with ministers and senior officials, the Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the ongoing progress of works.

The Chief Minister appreciated roads and buildings minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy and his officials for their efforts in speeding up works.

He went around ministers’ chambers, parking areas, secretaries and VIPs chambers and gave a few suggestions to the officials. He also went around the ground floor and the corridors, the first floor at the Secretariat.

The CM also gave suggestions with regard to the elevation and other final works. The officials kept as exhibits, gliding lights, granites and other models, which will be used for the decoration of the exteriors.

The CM examined their quality and the colour designs and suggested that the elevation should be bright and beautiful. The officials also showed the CM wall gliding lights, UPPVC windows, aluminium fabrications, fluoride marbles, and various types of granites.

He finalised some models after seeking advice from minister Sabita Indrareddy and others.

The CM also examined model water fountains, landscapes, restrooms, meeting halls. The officials explained to the CM about the sky lounge. The CM expressed happiness over the way the construction is taking place and appreciated minister Prashanth Reddy and E-in-C Ganapath Reddy.

He wanted the same pace of work to continue as it is happening now. He wanted the new Secretariat to be one of the most beautiful structures in the country.
