Model Code Violation Cases Against Congress & MIM Leaders in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police registered model code of conduct violation cases against Congress candidates Shaik Akbar (Malakpet) and M. Anjan Kumar Yadav (Musheerabad) and AIMIM corporator Chawni Abdul Shahid.

Akbar had obtained permission for holding a rally with 300 bikes, but the event featured more vehicles. Also, they burst crackers on the road, Dabeerpura police said. Shahid had taken permission for a 400-bike rally but brought in 800 vehicles, Chaderghat police said.

Musheerabad police booked Anjan Kumar Yadav and BJP leader Poosa Raju for using DJ music systems. BJP leader Gowlikar Dheeraj and BJP workers were booked by IS Sadan police for using a DJ music system.

AIMIM leader Fahad bin Mohammed and his associates threatened the Congress workers who were canvassing on behalf of Malakpet Congress candidate Shaik Akber and were booked. Akber was booked for distributing pamphlets without the name of the printing press, contact phone number and the number of copies printed.

Chaderghat police booked Malakpet BRS candidate Teegala Ajeeth Reddy for distributing pamphlets without mentioning the total number of copies.
