BJP obstructing probe into MLAs poachgate case: Harish Rao

HYDERABAD: Ministers T. Harish Rao and S. Niranjan Reddy came down heavily on the BJP accusing it of trying to obstruct the probe into the case pertaining to alleged attempts by BJP agents to poach four TRS MLAs ahead of Munugode Assembly bypoll.

Speaking to media at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday, they asked BJP leaders to answer why they were approaching the city court, Telangana High Court and the Supreme Court frequently seeking halting of the probe if the BJP has nothing to do with attempts made by a few persons to poach TRS MLAs.

Harish wondered why Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan spoke about her ADC Tushar on Wednesday while TRS talked about Tushar, who contested against Rahul Gandhi in Amethi and was involved in TRS MLAs poaching case.

Reacting to the Governor's allegations on phone tapping, Harish said, "Everyone in this country knows who is tapping whose phones. Those holding constitutional positions should maintain the decorum. It's not proper to make such comments and belittle themselves."
