Hyderabad: Former Congress MP V. Hanumantha Rao slammed Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, saying that the Rythu Bandhu scheme was not meant for the benefit of the poor farmers.
Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Hanumantha Rao said, “KCR is still trying to cheat the people of Telangana. He had said that 98 per cent of poor farmers are being benefited by the Rythu Bandhu scheme. The reality is that about 80 per cent of the farmers who have benefited are not poor and have more than five acres.”
He dared the CM to send his representatives on the Indira Vijaya Ratha Yatra that begins on November 15 to ask farmers if they benefited.
